| 自己紹介 | 【Cathy先生はどんな人？】 ☆Cathy先生にインタビューしてみました！☆ ◆先生の経歴は? I graduated from University of San Jose Recolletos and finished my Bachelor Degree in Nursing and I'am a license nurse. I had finished my post graduate training as a nurse but unfortunately it did not meet my way of life. Learning a language is not that easy since Filipino people are not native English speaker. I was really bad at spelling as well as understanding its meaning. It was tough during my primary school years but it was a prerequisite for us to move on to the higher level. What saved me was I enjoyed reading any English materials from comics, novels, magazines and sometimes news prints. In short we hear-listen-understand, write and speak English when classes are going on. I think that is how Filipino developed our English skills. フィリピンでは国語(タガログ語)以外の全ての科目の教育言語が英語です。要するに、授業中では英語を聞いて理解する、書いて話すことができる環境です。フィリピン人はそこで英語を徐々に取り入れて行きます。 ◆先生のレッスンではどんなことが学べる? My strong point is to create a friendly environment wherein students won't be hesitant or feel embarrassed to express their thoughts into words. Being too conscious and worrying too much hold themselves to make progress especially if their aim is to be able to speak well. Self-confidence and trusting your mentor will help you improve in a gradual manner. I aim to build up the self-confidence of my students by showing good rapport. By doing so, they overcome their nervousness & fear and start to enjoy my lesson in the most casual way without knowing that they will talk more than me. I do believe that arrangement of words and phrases to form proper sentences results in effective communication and eliminates confusion, misunderstanding or even ambiguity from the speaker towards the listener or respondent. 構文・文法に1番気をつけています。単語やフレーズを正しい文章に構築することが効果的な正しいコミュニケーションを取れるようになり、また構文・文法が正しくないと混乱、誤解、曖昧さを聞いている人に感じさせてしまいます。 ◆先生のレッスンポリシーを教えて！ It is my routine to start with a few mins free conversation for students to exercise before the main topic. In this way, they can release the nerves that give them intense feelings and make them relax or be ready.
